Year, Model & Trim Level. 96 XL. December 2, 2007. #3. yes they are related if your wipers don't work the system "knows" that you have no use for the washer liquid check your relays and and check for voltage at the motor. Voltage at the motor and no worky, most likely means broken motor.
The bosch wipers work great, although they look "cheaper" compared to the OG parts. Namely, the central part where the blade is attached to the arm looks a lot less fancy (although my old ones are most likely matte from wear and tear and not by design LOL). Since it's all black and hidden under the hood it has 0 effect on the looks, so - yay!
put your multimeter across the fuse and ground (ignition on) - see voltage ? good, no ? figure out why. find the wiper motor, and the wires going to it. this service manual is for a NB, but I suspect the motor testing details (and the motors) are the same. No volts there ? something between the fuse and the motor is broken so: check the switch.
My 95 mazda mx-3 keeps blowing the fuse for the windshield wipers. Also, irrelevant to which position the switch for the wipers is in, they say on high (until the fuse blows after 2 or 3 seconds). Wha … read more

The 2018 Mazda 3 has 24-inch and 18-inch windshield wiper sizes. These sizes vary because the driver's side wipers are different from the passenger side wipers. The driver's side wipers are 24 inches, while the passenger side wipers are only 18 inches. Depending on your vehicle, wiper sizes may vary. It's always a good idea to use the filter
The windshield wiper/washer switch signal circuits are inputs to the body control module (BCM) and the BCM controls wiper motor low speed operation, washer pump and high speed operation. The windshield wiper/washer switch is provided a low reference from the BCM and each of the switch signal circuits is supplied 12 volts through a resistor and
The ignition must be switched ON to use the wiper. Rear Window Wiper. Turn the wiper on by turning the rear wiper/washer switch. Rear Window Washer. To spray washer fluid, turn the rear wiper/ washer switch to the position. After the switch is released, the washer will stop. If the washer does not work, inspect the fluid level .
The Intermittent Setting Doesn’t Work. When the intermittent wiper relay fails, the windshield wipers won’t work when the windshield wiper switch is set to intermittent. When this issue is present, the windshield wipers can only work on high or low settings. Note, however, that on platforms with multiple wiper system relays, symptoms may vary.
Mazda Mechanic: Mike V. Ok, blue is supposed to have battery voltage with the fan switched off, but the key on. If this is how you tested, you need to go to the fan module and test right at the module, the blue wire. If there still isn't any voltage, the new module isn't any good. Ask Your Own Mazda Question.
